Story of Lord Krishna and Narada.

This story is derived from Bhavishya Purana.

Once Lord Krishna and Sage Narada were discussing about Devotion and devotees of Lord Krishna.

Narada: Oh Lord, you have billions of devotees who worship you, pray and offer prasadam to you.Who is a real devotee according to you?

Lord Krishna:We should descend on the Earth and then i can answer you.

Both Lord Krishna and Sage Narada disguised as Brahmans were in the town of Mathura.

Lord Krishna first took sage Narada to a poor farmer’s house. This family was burdened by debts, worries, sick of health, lack of food, poor standard of living but were ardent devotees of Lord Krishna.

So as these Brahmans entered their house they were welcomed with warm gestures and given seat to sit were they were welcomed with pure submission.

Farmer welcomed all the guests without any discrimination and thought were lord himself. He offered all the food to those Brahmans and sang the glory of Lord to them while eating. He made sure these guests were happy.

Lord Krishna was happy and fulfilled but while going he uttered that they will never be rich nor their children will get good life nor they will be accepted by this society and they will never have a good status but their life will always be surrounded by KRISHNA BHAKTI.

Sage Narada was shocked but there was another family to go.

Then Lord Krishna took Sage Narada to a rich merchant’s family. This family was successful and wealthy. The merchant had a beautiful wife and healthy children. He was bestowed with riches, food, servants, vehicles, luxury etc and was a devotee of Lord Krishna.

Lord Krishna and Narada reached their home but for their surprise no one payed attention to them, after much of time servants told owner about them and even he paid less attention.

Lord Krishna: Oh merchant, devotes of Lord Krishna have paved their path to your home ,offer something to them.

“Bhiksham dehi”.

Then owner with a growled face came out with few money and rice to which he told them this is what i can give you,now take this and leave. He told he was very busy with his work and his family cannot mingle with poor people and peasants.

Lord accepted the money and rice and blessed them with more riches, status, societal respect, money, luxury. He blessed them with more power and told your children, relatives, friends will flourish in life.

“Tathasthu”.

This shocked Sage Narada. He was enraged over this and asked Lord Krishna for his eccentric behavior.

Lord Krishna replied with a smile: “The poor farmer is my devotee who looks me in each and every individual and has submission to me.I blessed him with my devotion”.

Narada asked “then why more riches to rich merchant where as poverty to farmer”?

Lord Krishna: “The more you grow rich and powerful the more you will be in shackles of YOGAMAYA. Maya will force you to commit sins and you will be trapped.

In Kaliyuga, only devotion can get you liberation and societal status, riches, luxury will be a disturbance for your devotion”.

“I blessed farmer with Devotion and rich merchant with materialism”.

“That is really true that most people who grow rich and make their life luxurious then its needed tend to do more sins but if one's mind is constant then no matter what, they won't do any sins and make their life luxurious than its needed.

You should make your life better not luxurious like Car is designed to reach you at a distance so, it save your time but if you make that car luxurious you reach at distance too, but with laziness and sometimes ego that you have something which most do not have".
